Asa G. Neville.

     Asa G. Neville, the successful manager of the Eagle Glass Works, who has risen to a prominent place in the glass industry of this county, was born in Bridgeport, Ohio. Mr. Neville is an experienced workman, and is thoroughly conversant with all the requirements of' good work in his line, sparing no effort to contribute and to sustain the reputation he has already gained.

      His important position as manager of the Eagle Glass Works was never filled by a more popular or capable man. His quick grasp of every detail of the work and his broad comprehension of the whole business make his services valuable. Mr. Neville learned the glass trade at Bellaire, in the old National Glass Works, and was later connected with the Somner Glass Works of Steubenville, Ohio. He first came to Wellsburg in 1885, and was employed at the Dalzell factory. Afterwards going to Tarentum, Pa., where he remained for two years. After spending the summer of 1888 in Europe he returned to Wellsburg and was employed with the Lazearville Bottle Co. for about three years. Since that time he has been the successful manager of the West Penn Glass Works, of Blairsville, Pa. And also of the Asa Neville Glass Works, of Blairsville.

     In September, 1895, Mr. Neville accepted the position as manager of the Eagle Glass Works, and much of the success of the factory can be attributed to his able management.

     He is a prominent member of the K. of P. Lodge, being at present Master at Work, and was ChancelIor Commander of the Lodge last term. He is also a member of the A. 0. U. W.
