     ABRAM MONTGOMERY: as born in Westmoreland county, Pennsylvania in 1800; as a tanner by trade. He married Miss Nancy Snelling, by whom he had eleven children of whom two sons and six daughters are still living. J F Montgomery, (one of the sons of Abram) was born March 13th 1836, at West liberty, Ohio county, West Virginia, where he attended school until he as nine years of age, when he commenced work in a woolen factory, where he worked till eighteen years of age. He them went into the saddle and harness trade, in which he has been engaged ever since.
